Experts opine that the most important requirements to be fulfilled for a nation to be economically developed are (1) Mastery of knowledge in Science and Technology and (2) Ability to create New Knowledge. Both these requirements depend upon the quality and size of technical education system available with the various regions and states of the nation.

Basically, the technical institute like this was the need of Solapur region. The Institute aims at providing good, quality and industry oriented technical education. It will be beneficial to the nearby population of about three million people from both rural and urban areas.
